Zaggora fan Sunny Qureshi is taking a unique approach to weight loss. She’s joined Kansas City Fitness in a 12-week Weight Loss Challenge, complete with online video diaries that detail the contestants’ weekly progress. She wanted something else to jump-start her challenge, though, so got some Zaggora HotPants. The first two weeks of the program doubled as a Zaggora 2 Week Challenge!
Sunny’s story is one that we can all identify with. How did she motivate herself to take the challenge? Read on to find out.
“Hi, my name is Sunny Michelle Everson-Qureshi. I am a mother of three and am originally from Portland, Oregon. Most of my family still lives there but due to my husband’s work we had to relocate to the Mid-West. We moved from Oregon to Iowa to Minnesota to Missouri, where we’ve been for six years.
With all of the moving and being away from all of my family and trying to raise children with no real support, I just kind of let myself go. My second son was a handful for me and every time I went to the gym after he was born, the nursery would call me back within 15 minutes, so after a while I just stopped going. What’s the point in going when I couldn’t get anything done? Now the children are in school and even though my weight is a constant issue for me, I have only half-heartedly tried to get back to my previous body shape and size.
I found out that Kansas City Magazine was holding a 12 Week Weight Loss Challenge, and I knew that unless I did something like this I would probably never get my body back. Before I knew it, I had been accepted into the challenge! I knew that I needed some specific gear to help me win this and the first thing I thought of was to get more Zaggora workout clothes and do their 2 Week Challenge.
Here is how my 2 Week Challenge went. My initial weight was 181lbs, measurements of my waist 36.5 inches and my hips 44 inches. I worked out every single day and most evenings and ate a very clean diet: no processed foods, sugar, rice, bread, flour, very little fruit…pretty much only protein and vegetables. I am now down to 169.4lbs, my waist is 34.5 inches and my hips are 41 inches! My favorite jeans are now a bit too big for me and the ones my mom sent me for Christmas, which were too small, now fit!
I wore my Zaggora outfit – the sports top and the 2.0 pants or shorts – for every single workout I did. When I am finished working out I have to change my clothes before I leave as I am totally drenched in sweat! I have to peel them off of my body. They’re kind of hard to get off, they are so sweaty. My trainer loves them and she told me she suggested that one of her other clients get Zaggora!
They make me feel like I really did work out hard and smart at the same time. As a woman I tend to retain water weight and I think Zaggora is the key for me! It is really such a simple, smart solution.
I’m not done with my weight loss challenge with Kansas City Magazine yet – we still have several weeks to go! I am very excited to see my end results and thankful for my amazing Zaggora workout clothes and for the opportunity to share my progress with everyone.
My advice is to eat healthy, wear your Zaggora clothes, and work out every day!”
